Account creation and play
are on the web, so they're cross platform with any OS (we recommend
Microsoft Explorer browser). The game manual has an excellent quick
start which will take you from turn one to a budding empire in no
time flat.

When we first considered
hosting this game, we were not immediately impressed with it. It is
spawned from the same game Alien Assault traders is from, so they
are very similar, though Quantum Star SE certainly doesn't have as
many graphics.
What we found, however
was a game which was more complex and challenging, with a wider
range of options. Players can manage entire fleets, and there is
tremendous clan integration built in. Players can form clans and
declare war, even set specialized traps for specific clans.
